Protecting the Right to Bear Arms

I am the only candidate in this race with an A+ rating from the National Rifle Association (NRA) and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF).

As a father, I feel an obligation to ensure that future generations have the opportunity to enjoy the liberties protected by the Bill of Rights – including the right to keep and bear arms.

Some of the Democrats' proposed legislation would strip law-abiding citizens of their Second Amendment rights and do nothing to make us safer. Even my opponent, Kelly Loeffler, partnered her liberal WNBA team with Michael Bloomberg's gun control group "Everytown for Gun Safety" and has donated tens of thousands of dollars to anti-gun Democrats.

I was taught to respect guns and the freedoms granted to us by the Constitution, and I will continue to live by that philosophy as Senator.

Here's some of what I've done legislatively to protect our right to bear arms:

Cosponsor of H.R. 38, the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act which allows law-abiding gun owners with concealed carry permits to utilize concealed carry in other states that allow it.

Cosponsor of H.R. 155, Hearing Protection Act, which de-regulates silencers under the National Firearms Act, ensuring law-abiding gun owners have access to silencers without having to endure the bureaucratic process.

Fought against Democrat attempts to defy the Second Amendment through H.R. 8 and H.R. 1112, a pair of dangerous gun control bills that Collins fought against in committee and on the House Floor.
