Begins Serving As A Chaplain In The U.S. Air Force Reserves
In 2002, Doug enlisted in the U.S. Air Force Reserves as a chaplain and began ministering to our nation's military.

Deploys To Iraq And Is Stationed At Balad Air Force Base
Between 2008-2009, Doug was deployed to Iraq and stationed at Balad Air Force Base. Now, a Lieutenant Colonel, Doug remains an active Air Force Reservist.

Elected To Represent Northeast Georgia In The U.S. House
In 2013, Doug was elected to represent the people of Georgia's 9th Congressional District, after serving three consecutive terms as a Georgia State Representative.
